Food for Joe: Spaghetti with MEATballs and Red Pepper Sauce

So since Salena posted her “meatballs” recipe a little while back, I thought I would get in on the action and post my MEATballs recipe as well. We like to give you guys options. So this is a slightly more complex/time consuming recipe than I might normally go in for, but all parts of it can be prepared in advance. The sauce can be kept in the fridge for a couple of days and you can freeze the MEATballs, so you don’t have to do it all at once. I promise it is worth it though! The squash and pepper sauce is really creamy and flavorful and making your own balls of meat is TOTALLY worth the effort. This recipe makes enough for 4-6 (depending on how large a portion everyone wants).

We recommend: Timberyard

Having just been declared the best independent coffee shop in Europe, at the European Coffee Symposium, Timberyard on Old Street seemed like a place worth checking out, and popping on here. So I diligently took one for the team this weekend, and went for a good long investigation. The things I put myself through for coffsterity (that’s a combination of coffee and posterity in case you didn’t realise).

THANKSGIVING SPECIAL

Although Salena and I are based in the good old London town, we still managed to find enough excuses to celebrate Thanksgiving for our friends across the pond! This doesn’t fall into one of our normal categories, but I thought that I would give you my Turkey cooking tips (with a cheeky stuffing recipe thrown in and a couple of little extras too). It doesn’t quite qualify as “Stupidly Simple”, but hopefully this will help.

Time For Tea: Parmesan, Paprika and Oregano Bites

I never know how to describe these. They aren’t quite biscuits, or cake or bread… they are somewhere in between, and cheeeesey! So, obviously amazing. I think they make great snacks, picnic food, you can freeze them for later or they are yummy while they are still warm. Or with soup, they are delicious with soup!

Kind of random, but very versatile really.

We Recommend: Monmouth Coffee Company

As well as making food we both love eating it too! Eleanor, has a particular fondness (if you hadn’t guessed) for the food and drink traditionally found in cafes and coffee shops! Hence our Time For Tea posts. But between us we like pretty much anything. So when we find somewhere we particularly like we will pop up a little something about it and share it with you guys! Because sharing is caring!

On this occasion we are looking at Monmouth Coffee Company – one of the best known coffee establishments in London.
